Being hired through a referral who knew of my magazine background, I was given the task of redesigning and formatting a club publication which had originated as a black & white typed newsletter in the 1970s, and had evolved into a full color magazine by the time I took it on in the mid 2000s. However, the style was still a bit dated and needed a more contemporary look. By standardizing the format, enlarging the photos, and designing across the center spread, I established a style that I continue to enjoy pushing the boundaries with.
